In cooperation with its partners DOMEL, ECCITY, GEM MOTORS and FRAUNHOFER IAO, the company Tiskana vezja LUZNAR d.o.o. participated in the GEM IN-WHEEL development project, financed by the European Union under the funding programme FAST TRACK TO INNOVATION.

Under the project, the development and industrialization of the GEM IN-WHEEL motor, available in the power range from 2 kW to 6 kW, was completed.

Partner LUZNAR produced the printed circuit boards and equipped them with components according to the GEM MOTORS designs. The printed circuits were also coated in varnish to provide additional protection against external factors and vibrations.

The motor was tested and evaluated in terms of functionality and durability by the partner ECCITY.

The partner DOMEL established a cost-effective process for making a pilot line for the assembly of the electric motor.

The partner FRAUNHOFER IAO has been developing an optimized manufacturing schedule for this technology. Furthermore, the Institute also prepared a strategy for commercialising products to facilitate market entry.

The project in which we were involved supports the EU strategy for sustainable and environmentally friendly society.
